Problem / How do you leverage Mitre 10’s sponsorship of ‘The Block’ to create something that would engage both customers and viewers of the program, while also having a bit of fun?
Solution / We decided to create the ultimate DIY companion and pay homage to our brand ambassador Scott Cam by creating ‘Talkin’ Scotty’ – an interactive bobble head that dishes out DIY tips and Mightly Helpful advice, plus some of his more renown phrases like “Less lippy, more chippy” or “Tools down – time for a cold one.”
I worked closely with PopIdeas to produce initial renders, prototypes and the final product.
As part of the integrated campaign, I also developed the box artwork, instruction manual, counter top display stand, in-store posters, eDMs, social media content, and a micro-site.
