Problem / The Navy has been drilling in the message of working as a team for so long that it lost sight of showing the diverse and incredible types of people that are part of it.

Solution / Dive deeper (pun intended) into the diverse types of people who make up the Navy by hearing about their own personal stories, backgrounds and experiences.

After the call was put out to personnel to submit their own story, I conducted hour long interviews with each person and discovered all sorts of people, from knitters to skiers, from scholars to cancer survivors. 11 personnel were selected and photographed in a situation that best represented their story.
